Falls Church, VA—The IBA team was an industry sponsor and attendee at the annual Defense Health Information Technology Symposium (DHITS), held in Orlando, Florida, during the last week of July. Presented by the Defense Health Agency (DHA), the symposium is a forum for sharing knowledge, ideas, and new developments within the Military Health Service (MHS). This year’s theme was One Team—One Mission: Enabling MHS Transformation, and featured speakers included VADM Raquel Bono, DHA Director, and COL Pat Flanders, DHA Deputy Assistant Director and CIO.
Now in its 40th year of business, IBA has long served DHA by providing innovative technology solutions that address military health needs. Looking to the future, IBA will continue to support DHA’s new initiatives in telemedicine and artificial intelligence for combat care.
“Our participation at DHITS allows us to learn about cutting-edge technologies and virtual health challenges. It also provides a unique venue to share knowledge, discuss lessons learned, and collaborate face-to-face with Department of Defense healthcare professionals,” said Mary Dowdall, President of IBA. “And sponsoring events such as our exhibit hall coffee break and networking social in conjunction with the conference allows us to reconnect with industry partners and colleagues in the field.”
