IBA Hires New Business Development Team

Fall Church, VA—IBA recently expanded its team with the hiring of three experienced leaders in business development (above, left to right): Eric Peterson, Garth Hedger, and Ellen Pfeiffer.

Eric Peterson, Vice President, Federal IT Services, will support IBA’s growth initiatives in capture, proposals, and marketing within the firm’s federal IT services accounts. He will work closely with IBA’s senior leadership team and program leads to accelerate program growth, technical maturity, and innovation.

Peterson comes to IBA after 15 years with BRTRC Federal Solutions, a federal government service provider specializing in cyber operations, risk management, and technology transition. He was responsible for directing and supporting business development life cycles, with an emphasis on professional services supporting military and civilian agencies. Peterson has led, and successfully won, large IDIQ/GWAC contracts, task orders, and full and open solicitations.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join this great organization and to work with IBA’s talented employees and proven capabilities,” said Peterson. “I’m looking forward to building on IBA’s 40-year history as a trusted partner that works tirelessly to support our clients’ goals and underlying missions.”

Garth Hedger, Business Development Account Manager, will work with Peterson to generate leads and inside sales, educate potential clients on the impact IBA can have on their agencies, and secure new accounts. He will also oversee and manage sales deals through the business development life cycle.

Hedger is a Marine Corps veteran and a driven sales and marketing leader with experience designing, implementing, and leveraging strategic road maps to outperform competitors. He brings 20+ years of measurable success extending from startup companies to large multinational firms.

Ellen Pfeiffer, Frederick Business Development and Client Relations, will represent IBA and participate in local business association meetings, industry days, customer meetings, and events in Frederick, Maryland. Pfeiffer will leverage her expertise and IBA’s Fort Detrick presence to identify, develop, and advance new opportunities.

As a business development strategist, Pfeiffer has led opportunity pursuits and proposals for the Departments of the Navy and Army, Veterans Affairs, the Department of State, the Department of Homeland Security, the Social Security Administration, the US Postal Service, the Federal Aviation Administration, and numerous state and local government entities.

“We are thrilled with the team we’ve assembled and the unique contributions of each member. Eric’s leadership capacity and extensive business development experience will enhance our ability to expand our IT portfolio and provide innovative technology solutions to our customers,” said IBA President Mary Dowdall. “Garth brings energy and drive to the sales process that will generate new opportunities and motivate everyone involved. And Ellen’s focus, ability to drive to a plan, attention to detail, and research acumen will greatly assist our efforts to expand IBA’s work in Frederick and surrounding areas.”
