IBA Supported DHA TRICARE Online Patient Portal Program Receives FedHealthIT Innovation Award

FALLS CHURCH, VA — IBA, a leading technology consulting services firm, today announced that the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Solution Delivery Division (SDD) TRICARE Online (TOL) Patient Portal (PP) has received a FedHealthIT Innovation Award for its exceptional service.

Award winners were determined by a panel of judges that included government and industry leaders who evaluated applicants from across the industry, selecting awardees based on their willingness to take on achievable risk and to deliver real results in support of their mission.

“I want to thank SDD for providing IBA with an opportunity to proudly support this program for almost seven years and be part of its modernization initiatives. This award for the TOL program further substantiates that true Government-Contractor collaboration and partnership is the foundation for executing innovative technologies.” said Quinn Smith, Director of Operations for IBA.

IBA has been supporting TRICARE Online for several years and is currently supporting its migration to MHS Genesis. The TOL Patient Portal is a secure patient portal which gives approximately 776,000 beneficiaries access to their health care information online and through the mobile appplication; and facilitates services at military hospitals and clinics. The secure system allows individuals and families to make, cancel or reschedule appointments; e-visit with physicians; refill prescriptions and request prescription renewals; and view laboratory tests results and selected radiology reports.

“DHA is constantly infusing emerging technologies into its Health IT initiatives. IBA has been a proud service provider to DHA Solution Delivery Division, especially the Tricare Online Patient Portal. Improvements to enable UI/UX capabilities, mobile capabilities, redesign TOL modules and single sign-on; make this a unique program to leverage IBA’s core competencies,” said Karthik Srinivasan, IBA’s Senior Vice President for Federal IT Services.
