IBA Plays Major Role in Re-Design of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Website
FALLS CHURCH, VA, January 12, 2010 –
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Alejandro Mayorkas, Federal Chief Information Officer (CIO) Vivek Kundra, and Federal Chief Performance Officer Jeff Zients launched a redesigned USCIS website on September 22, 2009, which is in English and Spanish.
IBA's USCIS Customer Relationship Interface System (CRIS) team worked under the Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) Information Customer Service Division (ICSD) contract, playing an integral part of this White House initiative with its design of the "My Case Status" tool. On the redesigned USCIS.gov website, "My Case Status" replaces "Case Status Online" and adds a new option for immigration customers to receive alerts on the status of their case through text messages sent to their mobile phones. "My Case Status" provides immigration customers information on the status of their cases and also displays relevant processing times within the same screen.
This is a major effort which fulfills President Obama's pledge to offer enhanced navigation tools for the public to access immigration information and review case status. The re-designed USCIS website can be viewed at: http://www.uscis.gov
